Newborn Photography
Little Oliver came to visit from Dunedin at 11 day’s New. He was such a little cutie. Mum – Claire and Dad – Hayden were pretty smitten (and so they should be) Oliver had given them a little cause for concern – but arrived safe and sound. Here is a little selection of photos taken at Oliver’s photoshoot.

Dad requested a photo of little Oliver in his boot!! This is the result.

Baby Nico
What a delightful little man Nico was. My newborn photography sessions are usually done within the first 2 weeks. This is not always possible and sometimes it is a last minute thing to get photos done. Nico was 8 weeks old when he came to me, so I wasn’t sure if we would get to many “newborn” poses, as by 8 weeks they tend to not be quite so curled up, and are a lot more sensitive to touch. But Nico was a superstar! We got him nice and sleepy and the photos were beautiful. He is such a cute baby! Nice and chubby, with beautiful olive skin and the most amazing long, dark eyelashes. He was a little big to fit into most of my props, but the simplistic photo’s are sometimes the best. I even one a Bronze award at the NZIPP Iris awards with one of Nico’s photos. Enjoy xx

Newborn Photography is such a passion for me. I still get excited with each and every session. I LOVE babies – just incase you couldn’t tell – But this was an extra special Newborn Photography session for me, as it was my cousin’s little girl. Meet little Anika and her precious family – Manu, Koren and big brother Tane. Thank’s for coming through from Dunedin for your photo shoot. It was such a pleasure to photograph your beautiful little family xx

Annika – fitting snuggly in Dad’s hands. xx
Newborn PhotographyBaby KahuLisa Davidson Photography
Little baby Kahu traveled from Ranfurly with his parents to have his newborn photos done with me. I find it pretty special when families travel to have their photos done with me. It is a huge privilege to be trusted to photograph these precious little babies, and usually this is the first outing form new Mum’s with their little ones – so it is pretty awesome. Here are some of the precious images I captured from Kahu’s session. Enjoyxx
Precious Family photos to treasure
Look how little Kahu looks in Dads arms. So much love right here!
Central Otago Newborn PhotographerNewborn photos – Emily –Lisa Davidson Photography
Newborn photos are so rewarding. I am usually totally exhausted after a newborn session – but I am always left with a smile on my face. I feel pretty lucky to be doing this as my full time job. It was such a pleasure to meet little Emily. Emily was a very treasured little girl that Neil and Renee had patiently waited for. Renee had ended up on bedrest early awaiting this precious little bundles arrival. Emily was born back in April – yes my backlog is big – I am finally trying to find some time to get some photos up on my blog.
Newborn photoshoot – AshlynLisa Davidson Photography
It has been super busy in the studio lately, and I am very behind in my blogs – but have been trying to get on top of this over the last couple of days. I have another beautiful session to share with you. Amber who owns Buff day spa here in Alexandra along with her partner Shane came to visit with their precious little girl Ashlyn. So cute and so alert for such a little one, but we got the most precious images that Im sure they will treasure forever. Wouldn’t you just love to have photos of you as a newborn with your parents that show this total love and devotion that is so evident at this special time in ones life. Here are a few images from our session – Enjoy xx

LaylaNewborn Photography
Look at this beautiful little girl – Layla. I loved being able to do Layla’s newborn photos for her family. One of my images of little Layla managed to get me a Silver award recently at the NZIPP Iris awards, which are New Zealand’s only professional Photography awards – so that was pretty exciting. Here are a few images from Layla’s photoshoot. Enjoy xx
Orla- Newborn photoshoot
I was thrilled to be able to photograph little Orla and her proud parents Jason and Chris. Orla was a bright little button, and even at 5 days old she was more interested in being social and staying awake than drifting off into that deep newborn sleep!! She was super cute and very relaxed so we managed to get some pretty cool pictures. Enjoy xx
