Newborn goodness.

I Know….. I was going to be sooo much better at blogging this year but here we are in February and I am only just getting my first blog done!! Life just gets busy doesn’t it. Anyway I am finally here and I have the beautiful little Evie and her family to share with you. Evie came to me for Newborn photos at 9 Days old – just perfect xx Her brother Max came to join us for a bit to and we managed to get some beautiful family photos to treasure – with Mum Emmi and Dad Reece. .10 days old.

Newborn photography is such a privilege for me. I never take for granted how precious these little ones are and how lucky I am to be asked to capture such a special time in peoples lives.

When I get these little babies into the studio they are still so very new – Mums are still getting to know these little treasures and getting the sleep deprivation and feeding under control, so I am very lucky to be spending this time with them and creating images that are going to be treasured for a lifetime.

This is little Ava Shone. She came to visit me when she was 10 days old. Such a relaxed little soul. I had the pleasure of seeing her again today – 2 weeks since her newborn session, and I couldn’t get over how much she had grown. Beautiful little chubby cheeks have appeared and she is just so cuddly and cute. What a fantastic job that I have!

Another delightful little newborn arrives into our world xx

You may recognise Annika and Jonny from a beautiful Maternity session that I blogged recently. Yes they have had their little boy Mason Deane France -(A little while ago actually – I just haven’t had time to sit down and blog)

Mason was born on 17th August weighing a healthy 8lb 12oz Parents Annika and Jonny were so extremely proud and in love with their little man when they arrived for their newborn photography session with me – and so they should be – he is just adorable. It is such a special time to share with new parents and I am always so grateful that these clients trust me with their precious little babies. It is a time when parents are still getting to know these beautiful little beings that have just arrived into their lives – usually not letting them have much time for sleeping – but they arrive on my doorstep happy for me to capture these special moments and connections that pass us by so quickly. I find the older the child gets – the more treasured and precious these images become to families. This stage goes by in such a blur – and it is hard to believe as they become teenagers and start to overtake us in height – that they once occupied a space in our womb – or fitted into Dads hands quite easily!

Harper May Clouston

Harper – What a little treasure! I finally got to meet Harper a little later than origonally planned. Harper had decided to give her parents Willy and Olivia a bit of a scare on their drive into town on our first scheduled photo session, and ended up being diverted and spending a couple of days in hospital. Back on track and eager to get some precious photos of their dear little baby – another session was scheduled, and I got the pleasure of meeting this little princess!

I hadn’t meet Olivia or Willy before – they are such a neat couple and so excited to have this little girl in their lives. It is such an amazing feeling becoming parents. Nothing ever really prepares you for the moment you meet this little person for the first time. That unconditional love that is just so instant and so strong! It is such a privillege to be invited into peoples lives at such special times as these to capture precious images of times that will be forever cherished. These little babies will only fit in Dads hands like this for such a short time. Precious moments. Precious memories captured and treasured.
